TunisiaTourismTV - The event “Wine Is The New Art” was organized for the first time in Tunisia in La Marsa, near Tunis. Wine tasting and lectures allowed the participants to discover the various vintages from the Domaine Bougène.
Entitled “Phoenician Allegories”, the event was hosted by the hotel Dar El Marsa. It did not fail to replace Tunisian wine in a long history that began with the Phoenicians, founders of Carthage.
Featured during this evening were the wines Bougène, created by a small group of passionate amateurs, all having in common to love wine and live in Geneva… The name is quite simply the contraction of Bou Argoub – the location of the domaine – and Genève.
Several cuvees are available among which the Passion Rosé, the Prestige (single-varietal Syrah) or else the cuvee Sélection, medal-winning at the Vinalies Paris and Mondial Bruxelles.
Over the past two decades, new Crus have renewed wine production in Tunisia by introducing new grape varieties such as Cabernet-Sauvignon, Merlot, Mourvèdre…
These include the wines Bougène. Made in limited quantities, them can be found in best hotels and restaurants of the Coasts of Carthage and across Tunisia.
