TunisiaTourismTV – Almost all regions of Tunisia produce olive oil. Alongside big modern installations, numerous old-fashioned oil mills can still be found.
In these oil mills, high-quality oil is produced thanks to cold pressing. Furthermore, olives are most often cultivated without chemicals and even without irrigation.
First, the olives are crushed under millstones. Then the olive paste is disposed in sorts of flat baskets that are stacked under a press.
